A hub where people of diverse ages and backgrounds can connect
Samegai-Juku was the 61st stop of the famous Nakasendo Route from Edo to Kyoto.
A crystal stream flows down from a mountain spring, past a an old building that served long ago as an inn for travelers. 200 years later, it welcomes a new generation of travelers as a newly renovated guesthouse.
As small streams merge into larger rivers on their way to Lake Biwa, we hope to serve as a hub where people of diverse ages and backgrounds can connect.
We welcome you here in Samegai, Maibara City, the “source of abundand clear water.”
